Guilherme Henrique Caspary Ribeiro Filho is known in the Capoeira world as Olho de Peixe and is the headmaster of Grupo Capoeiracre. Acre, one of Brazil’s most isloated states which borders with Bolivia and Peru has been Olho de Peixe’s home since 1988 when he move there for work reasons.

A Doctor in Nutrician and a strong cultural enthusiat, Olho de Peixe was a member of The University Folkloric Group for five years. Within this period he travelled extensively spreading Brazil’s rich culture not only to Brazilians but also to people of the “old country,” Portugal. For his first thirteen years of Capoeira training, he learnt with Mestre Paulinho Sabiá in Niterói and later trained under Mestre Boneco in Rio de Janeiro.

A Capoeirista (Capoeira Player) for some 26 years, he has been developing Capoeira in the state of Acre from the day he arrived there from his home state of Rio de Janeiro. Many people have learnt under his instruction. Presently there are eight purple belts/cords (Teachers), a number of green belts/cords (Instructors) and approximately 300 students under Olho. Some 2000-3000 spectators attend his yearly Capoeira Batizado in Acre, Brazil.
